Executive Overview

This is a 2-4 hour session between one of the LPDI principals and the management team of the prospective client company. It will provide an overview of what lean product development is, what are the benefits of implementation in the client company, and what are the methodologies for how to accomplish implementation. This event can be customized for each individual client to fit the time constraints of the customer.

Workshops

Workshops are either 1 or 2 day standard workshops designed to convey the learnings and principles of lean product development to all of the client company employees who will be involved in the change to lean product development. They are more in-depth than the Executive Overview and provide all of the learning and training needed for the change. Workshops are provided both for the knowledge of LPD and also for implementation.

Change Implementation Consulting

Subject matter experts will be available to assist the implementation of these principles in your company. Experts in both the Toyota system and in whole scale change are available. This service will be made on a customized basis depending on your needs and a quotation can be given.

Forums

Forums are groups of companies who have a common interest in learning more about lean product development and its implementation. It also provides a mechanism for companies to share and learn from each other about successes and hurdles concerning implementation. Both training and facilitation are provided by one of the LPDI principals and can be an excellent way for client companies to leverage there financial resources to learn and adopt the principles and paradigms of LPD. These can also be customized according to the needs and wishes of the group and typically span a 6 month to an 18 month time frame. Target audience is the client internal champion for LPD.

Collaborations

Collaborative projects on the LPD topic can be formed in the traditional NCMS manner. A group of companies who have a common interest in doing additional research projects in the LPD topical areas will leverage their financial and in-kind resources to do more in-depth studies of the topic and to formulate new processes and methodologies to push the state-of-the-art beyond what it is today.
